What began as a way of expressing the Warli (Maharashtra's largest tribal group) way of life nearly 3000 years BC. The Warli paintings today find a prominent position in the opulent heritage of indian art. In its contemporary adaptation by the outside world, one finds the Warli style of painting mostly in acrelic, oil, sketch & water based colours on cloth and paper.
